Meet the Staff
Trina Southard, Executive Director
Trina Southard is the Executive Director of the South-Central Oklahoma Workforce Board with over thirty years’ experience in Workforce, Community and Economic Development. Trina holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Cameron University in Engineering Technology and an Associate’s Degree in Design Drafting. She is a 2014 graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute.
She currently serves as the President of the Oklahoma Workforce Association and the Vice Chair of the Oklahoma Chapter of the 99’s.
Jana Farmer, Board Monitor
Jana joined South Central Workforce Board in June of 2015 as Board Monitor. She is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Jana received her CPA certification in 1990. She worked primarily in the Oil and Gas Industry prior to joining the South Central Workforce Board. Her primary function for the Board is to review cases for compliance with the Federal, State and Local Area WIOA Title 1 policies and procedures. In addition to monitoring, Jana is responsible for maintaining the Eligible Training Provider list along with approving programs for training. She works closely with our Service Provider and Training Providers providing technical assistance and guidance.
Jessica Forbes, Business Services Manager
Jessica Forbes is a born and raised South Central Oklahoma native. She graduated from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma with a bachelors in Psychology. Jessica began working with ResCare Workforce Services in 2018 where she assisted individuals in reaching their employment and educational goals. Jessica has worked as a Talent Development Specialist, Youth Outreach Specialist, and Work-based Learning Coordinator in the South Central area. Since joining the the board in June 2020 her position as Business Service Coordinator now helps her work with businesses throughout the South Central Oklahoma region focusing on bringing awareness to the WIOA Title 1 program and the benefits it provides for both job seekers and employers.
Linda Greer, Business Services Manager
Linda Greer holds an Associates Business degree and Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Management degree from Cameron University. She worked in the Oil and Gas Industry prior to joining the Board with eighteen years’ experience with Accounts Payable, Records and Auditing and Asset Management. She currently serves as a member of The National Society of Leadership, Delta Sigma Sorority, Society Petroleum Engineers for the Southwest Oklahoma Chapter and serves as the current treasurer for this chapter, and previous Board member for Halliburton Impact located in Duncan, Oklahoma Section. As a Business Service Coordinator, she will help businesses throughout the South-Central Oklahoma region on bringing awareness to the WIOA Title 1 program and benefits it provides for both job seekers and employers.
The South Central Oklahoma Workforce Board (SCOWB) is comprised of leaders in business, the labor community, public education and employment organizations representing Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Grady, Jefferson, McClain, Stephens and Tillman counties in South Central Oklahoma.
